Short Note - Cases Where Regional Language, Hindi and English Should Be Used

भारत सरकार की राजभाषा नीति तथा रेलवे बोर्ड के निर्देशों के अनुसार निम्नलिखित मामलों में क्षेत्रीय भाषा, हिन्दी तथा अंग्रेजी का प्रयोग किया जाता है—

1. स्टेशनों एवं केंद्रीय सरकारी कार्यालयों के नामपट्ट एवं संकेत पट्ट
   (Name Boards and Sign Boards displayed at Stations and Central Government Offices)
2. जनता द्वारा उपयोग किए जाने वाले प्रपत्र (Forms)
   (Forms meant for use by the Public)
3. अधिकारियों के कक्षों के बाहर प्रदर्शित नामपट्ट एवं पदनाम पट्ट
   (Name Plates and Designation Boards displayed outside Officers' Rooms)
4. स्टेशन उद्घोषणाएँ
   (Station Announcements)
5. निमंत्रण पत्र
   (Invitation Cards)
6. सरकारी समारोहों, जयंती, सप्ताह, पखवाड़ा आदि अवसरों पर प्रदर्शित बैनर एवं पट्टिकाएँ
   (Banners and Plaques displayed during Official Functions, Celebrations, Jayanti, Weeks, Fortnights etc.)

महत्वपूर्ण नोट

उपरोक्त सभी मामलों में भाषाओं का प्रयोग निम्नलिखित क्रम में किया जाएगा—

1. क्षेत्रीय भाषा (Regional Language)
2. हिन्दी (Hindi)
3. अंग्रेजी (English)

According to the Official Language Policy of the Government of India and Railway Board instructions, Regional Language, Hindi and English should be used in the following cases:

1. Name Boards and Sign Boards displayed at Railway Stations and outside Central Government Offices.
2. Forms meant for use by the Public.
3. Name Plates and Designation Boards displayed outside the rooms of Officers.
4. Station Announcements.
5. Invitation Cards.
6. Banners and Plaques displayed during Official Functions, Celebrations, Jayanti, Hindi Week, Hindi Fortnight and other official events.

Important Note

In all the above cases, the following order of languages should be followed:

1. Regional Language
2. Hindi
3. English
